We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Software Quality Engineer (Manual Testing) with 2–3 years of experience to join our growing QA team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and stability of our Activate Multi-Family web and mobile applications (iOS & Android) through robust manual testing practices. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA professionals to ensure exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for web and mobile platforms (Android & iOS).
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure software quality across releases.
- Work closely with product and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
- Validate and test REST APIs using tools like Postman.
- Identify, log, and track bugs and issues through to resolution using JIRA or similar tools.
- Provide timely and clear reporting on test progress, defect status, and release readiness.
- Support release activities by conducting UAT and sanity checks.
- Assist in replicating production issues and work closely with developers to isolate and debug problems.
- Maintain and optimize the test repository for scalability and coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR 2+ years of QA experience.
- Proficient in creating test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on product requirements.
- Familiarity with Android Studio and Xcode for mobile app installations on simulators or real devices.
- Understanding of API testing concepts; working experience with Postman is a plus.
- Experience with bug tracking and test case management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, etc.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of test automation concepts (even if not hands-on).
- Familiarity with mobile app build & deployment processes.
- Knowledge of SQL and basic database validation.
